I recorded what I need to create a software simulation for my learners, and I put it into Try Mode. I am struggling with getting things to show up when and how I want them. I think I am figuring out the layers and triggers, but many don't seem to allow the customization I have seen others mention (for instance, I click on "if" to add conditions but nothing opens/enables), and I can't figure out why text won't show where I thought I put it in or how to move things from one layer to another. Can someone please tell me where I can find more detailed and in-depth info on this? Thank you!

Thanks for reaching out! Something might need to be fixed with the installation of Storyline based on your description of the triggers. I'm happy to help troubleshoot. We can start by checking if you're working on your local drive; working on a network drive can cause erratic behavior. If the problem with the triggers still happens, try running these steps to repair the installation of Storyline.
Regarding the text in your screen recording, I'm curious if you're recording a browser, particularly Google Chrome. If this is the case, try using Firefox and see if the output will improve. This article has details on this:

The new Microsoft Edge (Chromium) is built on the same underlying technology as Google Chrome. So I can't say if it will perform better than Firefox for screen recordings. But I'm curious about what your experience will be. Let me know how Microsoft Edge will fare on your end!
