Single attempt test out or complete course and final assessment
Hi all,
I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction please or tell me if this is even possible.
I'd like to create a Storyline course with an option to complete (i) a single attempt, 100% required to complete 'test out' at the start or (ii) a series of content slides with a final assessment, allowing multiple attempts, 80% required to pass. If a learner fails option (i), they are routed to (ii) to take the content and second quiz.
I'd also like to know through a survey which route they took and some feedback on the course. I'm familiar with doing this through variables and a survey block but I don't know if I can do this in combination with the option above.
Any insight is appreciated - thank you.

The User Guide (Storyline 360: Adding Result Slides | Articulate - Community ) explains how to indicate whether a Results slide is for a Pre-test or a Final Assessment.
Here's a screenshot of the relevant step. It also explains how the program tracks when there is a Pre-test and Final Assessment.
You could set up your course so the user can only take the pre-test once. Just prevent them from accessing it again (e.g., don't include it in the Menu, don't have a button on that Results slide that returns to the quiz). Otherwise, make them go through the content and take the Final Assessment.
The question data is submitted to the LMS/LRS. That would tell you which route they took.
