States - Consistency

Hi,

How can I ensure that the selected states are consistent for all yoga poses (all 6 circles).

Format Painter doesn't work as yoga poses get copied to other 5 circles.

There would be a better way.

Regards

Malvika

  • Hi Malvika,

    Thanks for reaching out!

I tested your file and I see that using the format painter, the yoga icon is changing along with the States. One thing you can try is creating your own icon first, by going to Insert on the top ribbon > Shapes > Circle.

You can format the circle and edit the State, then copy (Ctrl+C) and paste (Ctrl+V) to add the additional four circles. They should all have the same States. From there, you can add a specific yoga icon to each circle.

Please let me know if you give this a try and if you have any additional questions! We'll be happy to help!

Try holding the shift button while using the format painter

      Hi Basil,

The issue is that when I use format painter, the icons gets copied across all 5 circles.

      Am I doing it incorrectly?

      Regards

      Malvika

  • Why is my visited/selected state not working consistently.

I want circle to change to rectangle (visited state) when a circle is changed. And the rectangle stays.

so that after all 5 circles are clicked, we have 5 rectangles.

      Hi Malvika,

In your project file, the rectangular shape is available for only the Selected state. Here's a screenshot to see what I mean:

You also need to edit the shape for the Visited state if you want your ovals to remain as rectangles when the tabs in your slide are viewed and visited. You can check out this article to learn more about states in Storyline 360.

      Hope this helps!
