Storyline 360 - Text variable not displaying on iPad
Hi
I have a slide that requires the user to enter their name in a text entry field. On a slide master I have inserted the reference to that text entry field variable:
%TextEntry_NAME%
When viewing the story on a computer it works - the name is shown on slides using that master (tested in Chrome, Firefox and Safari). But this does not work when viewed on an iPad. It also doesn't work when the reference is added directly to the slide, not using the slide master.
Is this an HTML5 issue? Thanks!

Hello Lauren,
No there have been different versions of IOS involved. For example one user has an iPad ver. 3.0 with IOS 15.3 and the graphic/hotspot works for him. Another user has a newer iPad ver 3.6 but with IOS 15.2.1 but a graphic/hotspot does NOT work for that user. However a button with the same triggers attached seems to work for all users regardless of iPad version or IOS version.
Thank you, Gary! Adding these details to our report now.

Generally you can state that older IOS will have issues with non-buttons. Buttons will work on every IOS device. Non-button interactivity ( shapes, text-input fields, images with triggers ) all will fail on older IOS.
