[Storyline 360] Generating captions with AI from MP3 audio not working

Hi!

I'm currently trying to generate captions with the AI feature for an audio file on my slide.

This audio file is a MP3 recording of a real person talking.

But when I try the caption generation, it says that it can't detect any voice.

Any ideas on how to solve this?

Thanks

Unfortunately, no, but it is a very common mp3 recording of someone talking, same as any podcast or vocal message.
Is Storyline AI caption generation limited to AI voices or should it work with human voices too?

  • It can work with any audio, not just the AI voices.  Have you tried it with other audio files?

      Thanks for your answer.
I've just tried the file you sent: I get the same response "Can't identify voice".
I think it's an issue with the recent update.
I will open a ticket to the support.

      • Hello ST-S

I see that you're working with my colleague Mick in your case. He recommended a repair and working locally if you're not already. If you're still experiencing this after a repair, we can continue the conversation in your case.

Have a great start to your day!

  • Submitting a ticket is a good choice.  The audio sample I sent works for me and I am on the latest build, so there could be some localised issue that support can help you with.

  • Hi, all!

I have some great news to share! We just released a new version of Storyline 360 (Update 102), which included a fix for the issue where AI-generated captions fail in Storyline 360's French UI version.

To take advantage of this update, launch the Articulate 360 desktop app on your computer and click the Update button next to Storyline 360. You'll find step-by-step instructions here.
