Storyline crashing more often

Has anyone noticed that Storyline is crashing more often lately, or is it just me?? I have been having it crash on me about 10 times a week, using it primarily all day everyday. Sometimes I can save the project and reboot, but most times I cannot.

Anyone else??

    I already started a support case but just wanted to share that I am experiencing the same issues - constant crashes and none of the standard troubleshooting has helped. My crashes also started pretty recently, in the last 2 weeks

    Thanks for letting us know what you're experiencing! I have a few questions to start:

    • Is this the only file that is giving you trouble?
    • Is the file saved to your local hard drive?

    If it's only happening with one file, you can try saving a copy to your desktop and importing the course into a blank project to see if that helps with crashing.

    If you experience the issue across multiple files or the tip above didn't help, connect with our support engineers for help. There may be something more than a reboot needed to help refresh the application!

      Hello, Ren. I produce up to 7 SL projects a week and it happens ubiquitously through all of them.

    Do you know what version of Storyline you're using? 

    • You can check by going to Help > About Articulate Storyline
    • We are currently on Build 3.56.26219.0 of Storyline 360. You can read all of the details here.

    If you are on the latest version, I'd recommend repairing your software installation since you are experiencing an issue across files.

    Also, your email signature came through when you replied via email. You can remove that if needed by clicking 'Edit' beneath your response. Here's Peek video if you need help.

      After checking, I have confirmed that I am running the latest version. I will start the repair process now.

      (and thanks for the heads-up on the email signature!!)

  • I have done the suggestions and still getting errors and crashes. I will be contact support now
