Subtitle tools for videos

Hi - does anyone know a tool we can use for free to create subtitles for videos? We are creating animated videos, but our subtitling tool was currently decommissioned. I am looking for a free solution I can quickly tap into. Thank you for any tips.

    Try Descript and see if it will cover your need. Descript.com

    YouTube also does a pretty good automated job as well for free.
