Text Entry and Submission Button
Hi Everyone! Thank you in advance for your help!
I have a text entry field created on a slide. I want my user to enter a response to a question in that text entry field and then to use the submit button I created in order for the course to capture the user's response to the question posed.
Does the "submit" button I created actually "capture" the response or is that element of SL already part of the make up of SL and the user's response will populate on a course report somewhere because they used the text entry field.
Really hard to tell without seeing the actual trigger. Attaching your .story file here will make that a lot easier.
In the meantime, when you create a text entry box, the system creates a variable for it to use, and creates a trigger to copy the entry into the variable when the entry box loses focus.
