The Back button is not working in the linear format.

Hi, I want to make a back button that will work in linear format rather than the previous slide. Have any javascript examples for achieving this from the master slide? Because I know that in articulate, the back button works like a previously viewed slide, no matter what the slide sequence is. And I don't want to implement this on each and every slide, which would take lots of effort and increase the error count.
