Thumbnail selection in Rise videos
Hi there, I have loaded an MP4 video into one of my Rise courses. The thumbnail Rise has generated isn't great (my video subject looks half asleep), but I am not sure how to change it. I noticed on another thread a suggestion to add an image as the first frame instead of starting with video. Would this be a work around I could use in this situation?

+ 1 from me
Thank you folks! I've updated the request to include all of the customer impact here. I'll post any updates to this discussion.

+1 from me. I like to use an intro transition on my videos, and with this my first few frames are blank.

+1 as well. I am creating templates for our developers and this would be a much easier add for our needs. I would even be happy with uploading my own image file instead of selecting a frame within the video.

We'd like the thumbnail option too. Cheers

Yes, it's 10:06pm PST and now I've got to add a frame in Camtasia for a thumbnail lest it be a black screen. I hope you'll add this feature at some point. Much appreciated

Plus one on needing this feature.

+1 to adding this feature! Much needed when our first frame is blank because that is the starting point for the animation following (fade from white to vidéo transition used)

Fairly unbelievable that this post was created 3 years ago, and there is no fix yet. There is one easy way to get around it of course; use video hosted on Vimeo: https://community.articulate.com/discussions/rise-360/adding-vimeo-clips-into-a-rise-360-course

Same here - Helpful to have the feature/capability of adding a thumbnail via Rise. (We were not able to use Vimeo, as then we lose the needed RISE settings to prevent the user from skipping over the video.)
