Translated Rise Label Issue

I have changed the label to desired language, but it still appears in English.

I tried to delete the label and create (upload xliff) a new one, but it doesn't work. Any idea how to fix this?

Hello StevenBenassi, I exported the XLIFF file again (after I translated the Custom Text in Rise), but I don't get a file with <source> and <target>. I attached the file as I download it from Rise after the translation. When I upload this file again (we want to send this to our new users to be uniform) the labels are not translated anymore. I would really like to what's going wrong of what I am doing wrong.
I had to copy the code to MsWord because I can't upload .xlf here.

    Hi StevenBenassi
thank you for your quick reply. I tried Preview but that doesn't show te labels correctly.
When I export a to dutch translated xliff from Rise, I would expect that I download the proper Xliff file with <source> and <target> so I can use that file. But that isn't the case (?)
I open a xliff-file in Wordpad, maybe you know a better tool for editing an Xliff?

I shall check it and try again and otherwise I will open a support case.

    Kind regards Annemarie

Hello, I have the same issue with translating labels in settings. Even when I translate the labels to dutch, then export the xliff file and upload it again, it shows English labels in stead of Dutch. How can I fix this. We send this to new users so everyone uses the same labels.
I would really like to hear how I can solve this

      Hi Annemarie77

Sorry to hear you're having trouble translating Labels in Rise 360!

Do the updated Labels also fail to appear when previewing or publishing the course? When translating Labels, authors must preview or publish the content in order to see the changes.

However, if you're also seeing this issue in the published output, it's possible something could be getting in the way within the XLIFF file itself. A properly translated XLIFF file should have both <source> and <target> segments. The source contains the original text, and the target tags, added by the translation tool, contain the translated text. For your reference, this is what a correctly translated file should look like:

Also, if you're comfortable sharing a copy of the affected XLIFF file, we're happy to test it on our end! Feel free to upload that here in the discussion or privately through a support case.

Check if the translated labels appear when you are in Preview Mode.

Hi, thanks for your suggestion. It still doesn't work. I'll report to the Support team.

  • Hi RasyidahMusa!

Sorry to hear you're having trouble translating labels in Rise 360!

Authors can edit Labels with the on-screen editor, or utilize the XLIFF file process. However, in both scenarios you'll need to preview or share the course, in order to see the changes take effect.

However, if the behavior persists outside of editing your course, please connect with our team through a support case.

We'd be happy to continue troubleshooting with you!
