"Unable to connect" when trying to insert text-to-speech
Storyline has been behaving really erratically for me the last week, and now I've run into something that isn't resolved by uninstalling/reinstalling.
When I try to insert text-to-speech narration, I get a message that says "Unable to connect. Check your internet connection and try again." My internet connection is fine. So I uninstalled/reinstalled. The problem remains.
Any ideas??

Apparently it's happening again. I opened a new case.

For my case, I solved it by uninstalling everything (Launcher and Storyline), using the .bat file for cleaning the registry, and reinstalling everything again. Instructions. This solution was suggested on other case, on which I was reporting that I had lost all apps from the Launcher. Purging and reinstalling solved that issue and the connectivity issue with Text-to-Speech. Just in case it helps to someone else.

The "Unable to connect" error when inserting text-to-speech in Storyline usually indicates an issue with the software's access to its text-to-speech servers, even if your internet is working. To resolve this, check your firewall or proxy settings to ensure they aren't blocking Storyline, and verify that you’re using the latest version of the software. Run Storyline as an administrator to grant it the necessary permissions, and ensure your internet connection is stable without any intermittent drops. If you’re on a corporate network, restrictions might affect connectivity, so trying a different network or using a VPN could help. If the issue persists, contact Articulate Support with details about your setup and network environment for further assistance.
