Unable to play the Timeline and the Player won't upload the preview pic

Hi Support,

I have tried these two suggestions from the support but it did not solve the problems. I use Win 11 and 64 bit.

1) https://www.articulate.com/support/article/Articulate-Storyline-360-How-to-Fix-Unexpected-or-Erratic-Behavior

My settings now :

2) https://www.articulate.com/support/article/create-edit-and-publish-articulate-storyline-courses-on-your-local-hard-drive

I have all files on the c-drev but I still just see three dots

Any suggestions?

Best regards

Christopher

  • Hello Christopher,

It looks like you're running into a file-specific issue. I'll be happy to check what's going on.

Would you be willing to share a copy of your project file here or in private by opening a support case so we can take a closer look at what's happening? We'll delete it when we're done testing!

      Dear Jose,

      The problem is solved 😉

      The problem was:

      · Timeline/playhead and Player did not work

A Senior Technical Support Engineer from Articulate solved the problem.

My new HP computer had some pre-settings that were causing the problems

      Solution (Senior Technical Support Engineer):

      · “We disabled non-Windows services at startup, including multiple
HP services. After that, the timeline and player preview worked.

      · Based on this solution, it confirms that something in the
non-Windows services, specifically HP services, is causing the preview
      issue in Storyline.”

      Best regards

      Christopher
