Undo option?
I don't know if I missed it, but if there isn't one already, Rise really needs an "undo" option. I just accidentally deleted text from a course I was reviewing and it took forever to find the original text to restore it. A simple undo option would have saved a lot of time.
Hello everyone, 🎉
I'm happy to let you know we released a new update for Rise 360! This update adds the following feature:
- Save and restore your work with a click via an easy-to-access version list that captures manual saves and export events.
There's nothing to install for web apps. New features and fixes are immediately available. Let me know if you have any questions about this update.
Also, I wanted to mention that Ctrl + Z (or Command + Z on a Mac) will undo deleted text within a text box. Just another handy keyboard shortcut to keep on hand!

I finally saw the undo option, but thank you for writing back. Maybe pass along that the undo feature is really difficult to see. It's in light gray at the bottom left of the screen. If I hadn't happened to glance down, I wouldn't have caught it (and because I'm an idiot, I never remember the shortcut for undoing stuff).
Also, can you ask they make the quote features less rigid? I wanted to use the "carousel" quote feature as another way to present a series of information but I couldn't because I couldn't delete the quotes and dash.
Also, if they could make it so that we can drag to adjust an image once we place it somewhere in the course, that would be SUPER helpful.
ALSO, if they could make the timeline/labeled graphic/sorting activity interactions a part of the blocks, that would be cool. Or at least allow us to add more content to the stand-alone interactions.
Thanks!
Blanca

Hi Blanca, I agree to an option to add to the timeline/labeled/graphic/sorting activity or make these not as a lesson, but something to insert in a lesson.
I am still not seeing the UNDO option.
Thanks

Hi Alyssa,
Are you sure about this? I actually feel like this used to work (otherwise how could I have actually made several courses...). This was probably 3 months ago, when you posted. But now...it does NOT. Highly frustrating. I have completely normal key bindings and command/ctl-z works for every other editor that I use.

I am not able to undo text add/delete using Command+Z in any text blocks. I'm using the latest version of Safari, but it also does not work in Chrome. Am I being dense?

I don't see any undo option in rise and I've just updated.
I inadvertently added one flash card too many, highlighted the flashcard and selected delete. All the flashcards were deleted and now there seems to be no way back, without starting all over again.
Hi there Ian,
So sorry to hear you lost your flashcards--I know that had to have caused you headaches. I recorded a short video using Peek which demonstrates what you might have done when you accidentally deleted all of the flashcards, and how you can delete just one flashcard instead. I hope this is helpful! :)

I find that the time frame is not long enough...firstly I never saw that option in the bottom left corner and secondly, you can lose a lot of data by making few mistakes. Please add undo for all and no time limit.

btw I believe this started happening after we made our team purchase.

+1. I don't think we're dense.
Basic, basic functionality
(I'm in Chrome)
Thanks, Daniel. I completely understand. We're logging this as a bug, and from here, our development team is going to prioritize making improvements to text editing.

Has this been fixed yet??? This is really a HUGE issue for me. There have been several times when I have accidentally deleted the wrong block and I've lost the work forever. I just did it now and have to recreate hours worth of work. Please fix this.

Hi everyone. I'm just beginning my adventure with Rise. I can see that this topic on "UNDO" has been explored for almost a year now. The UNDO option is visible for 10s only and frankly I believe it's no adjustment from 3s.
What are the chances that Rise could have similar options to Storyline where we have "undo arrows" that allow undo several recent actions? Thank you. - CarolCombs-c72aCommunity Member
Agree - please make the undo function work. I have lost so much work over this issue. I also don't understand when the Undo pops up at the bottom and when it does not. Either way, it peeks out and then disappears. Please, please give us an undo that works.

Absolutely amazed that this thread has been going on for so long. I have just accidentally deleted some text that was in a text block with two tables in it - making a glossary. instead of deleting the highlighted text it deleted nearly all of the text in the table and some of the cells in the table as well, so, having reviewed this three years worth of thread, it seems there is nothing I can do except start all over again. I didnt delete a block, I deleted text. So I didnt get the 6 second "undo" option. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE find a way. This lack of general undo or trash is a real stumbling block. Accidents happen. But not having an undo is unforgiveable. Talking about it for three years is another matter... Please. I'm going back to recreate the tables again.

I agree with previous comments. It's not an undo feature if it appears for 3 seconds and goes away. It's also not an undo "feature" if it's not an option that is available to you all the time, it's just an undo "token" that might pop up for you, or might not. I just deleted a block and looked for that little pop up because I know about this feature and once I deleted my block, I knew I made a mistake, but no pop up appeared for me. This really needs to be changed from what it is currently. This feature is available in Storyline 360, why not Rise 360? I'm totally in-love with Rise and this has been the biggest pain point for me with using it. Please update to have an undo option that is there all the time, not just for a few moments and then goes away.
