Hi Susan,
I used SCORM modules in Canvas for one semester.
After having used them in Moodle, I hated using Canvas.
In Moodle, I could track all the interactions that students had, such as clicking this button, or that button if I made the button part of the quiz. The way we had Canvas on our campus, Canvas would not tell you any of that information.
If I remember correctly, Canvas also forced you to upload SCORM modules into a separate category, or repository, and then try to embed them into a module on the course page. Moodle just allowed you to directly choose "SCORM module" from within the module on the page and upload it right there.
Technically my students were able to access the modules, but going from Moodle to Canvas was a downgrade.
