Using Content Library in Browser

Hello,

I have an Articulate 360 subscription, and I typically use a PC with Storyline etc downloaded on it.  I'm without my usual computer for a little while, so I'm using a Mac for the foreseeable future. I'm fine not having Storyline, but what I really need is access to the content library, specifically the Icons section. I'm trying to figure out how to access the Content Library from my browser, while signed into Articulate 360. I found a 'browser support' document that says Content Library assets should be accessible on a Mac through the most up-to-date version of Chrome, which I have. But when I try to access any of the assets through my browser, this is all I get (see screenshot below):

There's nowhere to actually download the icons. Can you please help?

Thanks,

Tara

  • Hi there, Tara! Content Library previews are available in the browser, but you'll download the assets directly within Storyline 360. Tell me a bit more about what you needed to do with the Content Library outside of Storyline 360, and maybe we can find a solution!

Ahh, I understand. I appreciate you getting back to me. I author some of
our content in Microsoft Powerpoint, and so I was looking to pull icons
from the Content Library and copy/paste them into a PPT I'm building (using
my Mac). Is this possible? Thanks!

  • Hi Tara,

If you're using a virtual machine within your Mac (tips and best practices outlined here), you can use a Windows version of Powerpoint to author content with Studio 360 and have access to content library assets. And, e just shipped an update for Studio 360 that gives you access to 4.5+ million Content Library 360 assets, including photos, illustrations, icons, and videos!

  • Hi,

How do I get access to or pull up the characters you make available in Storyline or Studio in the Content Library in Rise?  Also, the search feature is really needing some attention.  If I enter, "professional woman" I get a smattering of every woman out there... including several in bikinis.  Not the look I'm looking for.  '-)
    Thanks so much!

      Hey Barrett,

Those characters can be located in the Rise Scenario Blocks. Another way to add characters into Rise is to import them as an image. You can accomplish this by using this workflow:

      1. Add the character to a slide in Storyline 360
      2. Right-click the character and select Save as Image
      3. Insert the image in Rise

Please let me know if you have any additional questions!

Hi is there an update on this topic? I need to access the Content 360 Library from my Mac. Like the user who started this thread, I'm without my normal computer for a few weeks and I really need to access some specific stock photos that were used in a Rise course.

  • Hello Carla!

The Content Library assets are available for download in Storyline 360 and Studio 360. You can add assets from the Content Library to a Rise 360 course, but they aren't available for download in Rise 360. If there is a specific image you're looking for, we might be able to help while you don't currently have access to Storyline 360 or Studio 360. Please connect with a Support Engineer with a screenshot of the image you're looking for.

      Hi Raeven,

      Happy to chime in!

The Content Library is already available with your Articulate 360 subscription. You'll need to access it from inside Storyline 360 to begin downloading files and adding them to your course. Here's an example of how to add media files from the Content Library to your Storyline 360 course:
