Very blurry text and images in Chrome HTML5
I am using Storyline 360 and publishing HTML5 only. My client uses Chrome only. Every image and all text is unacceptably blurry.
Attached is an image of a screen from the course. On the left is HTML5 in Chrome, and on the right is Flash. Even the "Next" button is blurry.
I see in other discussions that this is a known issue. What is the timeline for fixing this? I will no longer be able to support this client unless we can get a fix soon, as they are quite dissatisfied with the current state.

Thanks! They were also published to Review online, and didn't receive any issues from our review team (using both Windows/Mac), then published into our LMS. We just launched this week. I think our students have Chrome on Windows mostly. We haven't received complaints so I'm not too worried about Edge at this time.
Thanks for the update, Amy. Please let us know if you run into any additional issues now that your course has launched.

Hi articulate staff
we have blurry text in Chrome 72 as well. In SL360 playersettings the option "open in new window" is not checked, we are using the modern Player (html5 only). The blur effect can occur within one slide, see screenshot. The blurry text is in a text box, it's not a Picture.
Do you have any news about fixing this?
Best regards
Victor
ps: Font used here is Frutiger 45 light
Hi Victor,
Thanks for reaching out and letting us know what you are running into as well.
We have seen similar reports extending to the latest version of Chrome as well and I appreciate you sharing the image.
I'll get this added to the report as our team continues investigating.
This conversation is attached so that we can share updates as we can with you right here.

Hi there! I have the same problem of blurriness with everything on the slides on preview and published. Also the SL360 interface ribbon is blurred. Files that used to look fine are blurry now after the last SL360 update. Interesting is that the same file looks OK in SL3. Any solutions?

This issue is resolved in Storyline 360 Version 3.26.18364.0
Hello Mihai,
I just responded to a similar question here if you'd like to take a look and keep the conversation going in one place :)

Another info: Windows scaling is 100%
Our team is still investigating issues with blurry images/text in Chrome - so even if you have it set to 100% zoom or your screen resolution as such, it may still be blurry. We'll keep folks posted in this discussion as we have more details.

I'm experiencing the same issues when publishing to Review 360 and web. All text looks like it has lost quality and is slightly blurry. I have no animations on any screens, so the other discussion hasn't been helpful.
I am using chrome and I have the latest version of storyline 360.

We have tested the HTML5 output on IE, Safari, and Chrome and the only times we get quality issues is with Chrome. We are trying to determine if this is an HTML5, Chrome, or SL issue or a combination of one or more of those. We are in the middle of upgrading our LMS to Docebo, which only supports HTML5. Is this a SL3/SL360 issue or is it an issue outside of the authoring tool? The answer to this will help us determine if we will upgrade from SL2 to 3/360.
Hi Pauline. The blurriness we're seeing is a combination of Chrome and Storyline. Our next update to Storyline 360 will add enhanced support to address the blurry issues we've seen in that browser. We'll let you know when the next version is available! Storyline 3 will get the same attention after the Storyline 360 update is released.

Thanks, Crystal! Much appreciated. If we upgrade to SL3 (not SL360) now, will we get a bug fix or should we hold off until the issue is resolved in SL3 and then upgrade?
