Rise course opening in new window once uploaded into LMS
Jan 03, 2019
Hello,
I have created a course in Rise and have uploaded it into the LMS that we use and invited trainees to take it. When taking the course, some of the courses I created in Rise launch into a new window, while some launch in the window currently in for the LMS. Is there a setting to change this? I can't seem to find one and I don't understand why it is doing it for some but not all. I've already checked with the LMS support and it doesn't seem to be a setting there.
Additionally, sometimes the white arrows to navigate through pages of the course do not appear unless the window is in full screen mode. Can you tell me why?

Hi Alberto. The behavior you're describing sounds oddly inconsistent. Our support team would be happy to lend a hand here. You can open up a ticket at articulatecase.com or reply here and I can open up a case on your behalf.
Thanks, Trina. Do you know why sometimes the white arrows to move from page to page within the course are not visible unless my browser is in full screen mode?
Hi Alberto. Unfortunately, I'm not sure why that would happen. Is that something you experience with only Rise courses that have opened in a new window, or does that behavior happen with courses in the current window? What browser are you using to view your courses? You can find a list of our supported browsers for authoring and viewing Rise content here.
Hi Trina,
It happens in both, when courses have launched into a new window or when they are within the current window. We're using the most recent version of Chrome.
Hi Alberto. Thanks for sharing that additional information with me. Short of checking to make sure you're running the latest version of Chrome, I don't see anyone else reporting this issue. I've gone ahead and opened up a support case on your behalf. You should be hearing from a team member shortly.
Sorry I couldn't be of more help!
