Search Option: allow us to move location or enlarge it

We have a lot of learners who have trouble finding the search option in a Rise course. It is so small and located above the course title in the left navigation panel.  Could we have the option to place a search field where we want it? And also make it an entry field rather than a tiny magnifying glass? 

Another related wish list item would be for search to be available when you're creating a Rise course, not just in the published version. Sometimes as we're designing, we need to search for something.
