This is brilliant! I especially loved the self-correction element, where the wrong answers are highlighted to be moved. I'd love to try making something: any tips on how you built it?
Hi, Joanna!
Thank you so much for those kind words. I really do appreciate you taking the time to comment on this. It truly means a lot. Believe it or not, this was my first ever interaction created with Storyline! I was using the free trial, and just took a couple of days to come up with an idea and then have a go at it. There were moments that I got stuck for hours trying to get something to work, only to realize the solution was incredibly simple. I loved the experience, though; I learned so much from it.
The interaction itself consists of merely two slides, as you can see. Then, I just tried to use layers as creatively as possible on the first slide to create those tab-like interactions. For the second slide, I believe I created a free-form question slide and then used trapezoid... Expand

The interaction itself consists of merely two slides, as you can see. Then, I just tried to use layers as creatively as possible on the first slide to create those tab-like interactions. For the second slide, I believe I created a free-form question slide and then used trapezoid shapes to create the appearance of a pyramid. I then topped it off with a triangle. After that, I grouped those shapes together, and flipped the image, since I felt Bloom's Revised taxonomy is more of an inverted pyramidal structure.
After this, I ungrouped the shapes and then created hotspots over each of them. Then, I created a drag-and-drop sequence by creating the tiles with the words on them and then connecting each of those objects to their corresponding hotspot inappropriate view panel on the slide.
A great deal of this stuff, though, just came to me as I went along. Inspiration would pop up here and there, and I would just go for it and see if it worked, and then reassess everything. It was fun to make, but I'm sure I could do something much more visually stimulating now that I know a bit more about the software, especially after taking David Anderson's LinkedIn courses on basic and advanced skills for 360.
If you have any more questions, feel free to let me know. I would really love to help in any way I can!
Edit: Oh, and as for where the wrong answer are highlighted, that is simply achieved by a setting in the drag-and-drop setting tab!
Be well,

Merci pour ce contenu qui permet de s'approprier la taxonomie de Bloom avec la réussite à coup sur !! Excellent travail valorisant pour l'apprenant Noah !!
Hey everybody! I was just made aware of the request for the story file. I don't appear to have it anymore, though. :( This was done on a Storyline 360 trial, and I'm guessing that when that trial expired, the story file was erased? I have access to the folder itself, and the resulting HTML file, but not the story file. I'm not sure what else I can do, but if anyone knows I'd love to be able to offer the story file to anyone and everyone interested in using it!
Hi Noah, that is too bad you do not have the .story file. A file that has expired can be recovered if you have a licensed version. Do you have access to a licensed version of Storyline 360 now? If you do have access to the folder, please zip it, and post it in the community. I could reuse some graphic... my original intent was to build a version similar in French and modify the feedback to an immediate feedback. Right now when we click on submit nothing happens. We do not know if we got it right or wrong.
Hi, Carole!
Yeah, I actually do have access to my company's team membership for Storyline. So, I've been using it. However, the folder that I was able to dig up from my computer just seems to be missing files here and there. Not sure how or why this could have happened. I'll upload what I have here, though, in zipped form.
Someone brought it to my attention that there were some folks wanting to use the file here on ELH. So, I'm considering getting into Storyline over the weekend and trying to recreate it as best I can. That way, I'll have a .story file to upload.
In the folder I am uploading now, there IS a file that is simply called "story" but it is in HTML5 format. =/ Which doesn't help us out.
Anyway, I hope this helps! :)
Edit: That is if I can figure out HOW to share... Expand

Edit: Better yet. I had an idea, and went digging, and found the original file!

I hope you all can find some good use out of this! Bear in mind, this was my first real interaction built in Storyline. So, there are likely many logical workarounds I used at that time that can be done more easily. In other words, HOW I got all the stuff to work might not be as elegant.
Either way, good luck my friends, and happy Storylining! :)
Noah! I am so excited to see that a resource created by you is listed in the "Build Your E-Learning Skills with these 7 Super-Helpful Instructional Design Projects" article!
Lashunda! How have you been? I miss our Chattie Addies team. Seriously. I know! Believe it or not, this was the first interaction I'd ever really built. I was super honored to have it featured. It gave me some much-needed confidence about my future in ID, for sure! At least, that is, in the development side of things. Hope you're doing well!
