Engage 360: Creating a New Interaction

Engage 360 lets you create media-rich interactions in a snap by simply filling out a form.

Starting a New Interaction

Here's how to create a new interaction:

  1. First, do any of the following:
    • Press Ctrl+N on your keyboard.
    • On the Engage launch screen, click New Project.
    • Go to the File tab on the Engage ribbon and choose New.
  2. Then, choose the type of interaction you want to create and click OK.

To learn more about each interaction type, see these user guides:

Saving a New Interaction

To save a new interaction, do any of the following:

  • Press Ctrl+S.
  • Click the Save icon on the Quick Access Toolbar in the upper left corner of the screen.
  • Go to the File tab on the Engage ribbon, and choose Save or Save As.

If you attempt to close Engage without first saving your interaction, you'll be prompted to save it.

To avoid unexpected behavior, save interactions on your local hard drive (typically your C: drive). For more tips on managing your interaction files, see this user guide.

Changing the Slide Background for Interactions in Articulate Presenter Courses

When your interaction is part of a Presenter course, we recommend using the same slide size in Engage and PowerPoint. If they're different, the interaction will be centered on the PowerPoint slide and, if necessary, scaled down to fit within the slide.

If an interaction has different dimensions than PowerPoint, the slide background color from the Presenter player will show around the quiz. To change this color, do the following:

  1. Open your presentation in PowerPoint.
  2. Go to the Articulate tab on the ribbon and click Player.
  3. Click Colors & Effects on the ribbon.
  4. Click Show advanced color editing.
  5. From the Edit item drop-down, choose Base >> Slide Background.
  6. Use the color selectors to choose your background colors.
  7. Click OK.
