Hello Articulate team, Thank you for making such a user-friendly product and updating often to conform to accessibility. More specifically, thank you for listening to your clients and users when we have ideas/issues. (I'm sure you saw this coming!) My name is Emmy and my amazing team at eConcordia designs eLearning modules using RISE and Storyline for thousands of higher education students. We noticed an accessibility concern with the animation style in the bloc-entrance feature, so we wanted to bring it to your attention. Many of the images that appear slide in from either left or right. This can cause motion-sickness in learners, also referred to as cybersickness, and cause fatigue, nausea, and headaches. Is it possible to revise the options in the bloc-entrance animations so that we can have only fade-ins, or so that we can control slightly the way things animate-in? We want to keep the animation feature but have an improved, more accessible version. Here are a few articles that support the notion that motion-sickness can be caused by certain animation styles: Applying Navigability & Accessibility to a Self-Coded Digital Interactive Portfolio https://soar.suny.edu/handle/20.500.12648/10433 Giving a Great Lecture: Going from Fine to Fantastic https://link.springer.com/chapter/10.1007/978-3-03041780-2_3 Your Interactive Makes Me Sick https://source.opennews.org/articles/motion-sick/ Cybersickness: What It Is, Symptoms, Causes, and Treatments https://www.healthline.com/health/cybersickness Thank you so much, we are hoping to hear from you soon.3Views0likes0CommentsPictures used in Matching Questions
I would like to suggest that pictures (images) be allowed when designing Matching Questions. Not simply a single image or "Media" added to the question but separate images used as the matching components. Think images of country shapes on one side and images of flags on the other with the instruction of "Match the Flag with the correct country shape." Or images of vehicles and their safety equipment. It could be very useful in cases of language/reading comprehension.25Views0likes3CommentsRequest for Feature to Export All Text-to-Speech Scripts in Storyline 360
Are there any plans to develop a feature in Storyline 360 that allows users to export all text-to-speech (TTS) scripts used in a project into a single document, such as a Word file. Currently, it is quite time-consuming to manually copy the TTS text from each slide, especially for projects with a large number of slides. Having an option to automatically compile all TTS scripts into one document would greatly enhance productivity and streamline the workflow for many users. Thank you for considering this request. I look forward to any updates or potential solutions you might have. Best regards, ElviraSolved69Views4likes6CommentsExport Recordings/Videos as GIFs in Replay
We use GIFs a lot to show navigation and functionality for different products. It would significantly improve the workflow if Replay could export recordings directly into a GIF format. Using other third-party software to convert the MP4 files is time consuming - especially when a lot of GIFs need to be created/updated. This feature could be as simplistic as an "Export GIF" button which prompts the user to crop the video, select a save destination, and then proceed with the export.5Views0likes0CommentsDimension and position for Zoom Regions
Creating a software simulation often requires multiple slides that need to be "zoomed in" to the same part of the screen. If you place a zoom region on two slides, it is impossible to get them to be exactly the same dimensions in exactly the same position. For the user, this causes the picture to jump around when they go from one slide to the next. This ruins the continuity and makes for an unprofessional product. We can currently adjust the position and size of almost everything else on the slide! Pictures, shapes, text boxes, etc. can all be set by typing exact numbers into the fields on the Format toolbar, so why not Zoom Regions? The current workaround - duplicating the slide over and over again - is clunky and makes for a longer workflow that is harder to modify later on.2Views0likes0CommentsMore medical characters without stethoscopes.
For anyone who is developing training in the medical community, there is a new requirement that characters be shown without a stethoscope around their neck as this is a safety hazard. Some more variety of medical characters that don't have stethoscopes around their neck would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!5Views0likes0CommentsPrompt/Recommendations
Could Rise or Storyline keep track of the course content and interactions used and make recommendations on how to improve, either on the fly or before you publish. For example: Your course has too much continuous text, we recommend adding an image here. You haven't used any interactions, to maintain user engagement how about adding a question here. This lesson is too long and contains too much information, we suggest splitting into multiple lessons. The title case is not consistent with the rest of the course. This image does not have any caption text.10Views1like1Comment
