Now you can chat with AI to generate simple JavaScript animations for your slide, making it easier to bring your ideas to life. Update to the latest version to give it a try and let us know what you think! To help you get started, we have a video walkthrough, a tutorial course, and documentation to learn more about how it works, see sample prompts, and animation examples that can all be found here. Why JavaScript? This update is our first step in helping authors experiment and push creative boundaries. Based on your feedback, we’re already working on support for built-in animations—and we’ll be sharing a preview soon! We’re also exploring more ways AI can handle tedious tasks for you, so let us know what you’d like AI Assistant to be able to do for you! Try It Out! Use AI Chat to make an object fly in from the right side of the screen after one second. Feel free to get creative—frisbee flying across a park? Plane flying across a cloudy sky? Sky's the limit (see what we did there?)! Share your example in the comments below!307Views3likes6CommentsBuilt in states not working as expected
I am working with 4 states: Normal, Drag Over, Drop Correct, and Drop Incorrect. The drag over is not working at all. Both drop correct and drop incorrect work when dropped on the targets, but if they are placed outside a target, drop incorrect shows up instead of staying normal. I followed the "How to Build Drag-and-Drop Interactions in Storyline 360" tutorial so I am not sure what I have done wrong.29Views0likes0CommentsContextual Feedback
I’m currently reading Chapter 7 of Map It! by Cathy Moore and have a question about designing knowledge checks in Rise. I’d like to create knowledge checks with contextual feedback that doesn’t display “Correct” or “Incorrect” to the learner. It appears that Rise doesn’t currently support this functionality. The answers can still be tracked as correct or incorrect for reporting purposes, but I don’t want the learner to see those labels. I’ve attached two images as examples. I used the Feedback by Choice option, which is great because it allows custom feedback based on the learner’s decision. Is this functionality something Articulate is planning to add? It would be a big upgrade. As Cathy Moore writes: “A surprisingly large percentage of e-learning tools and quiz plugins don’t support contextual feedback... The tools’ creators seem to assume that the only time we’d want to ask a question is to see if the learner can correctly regurgitate a fact.” (Map It, p. 167) Screenshot from Editing a multiple choice question Screenshot from the Preview of the multiple choice question, showing that the "Correct" still pops up for the learner19Views0likes2CommentsCorrect/Incorrect Drag & Drop states not changing after submitting.
Hi everyone, I'm working on a few Drag & Drop questions where the draggable items have correct and incorrect states. I want these states to change AFTER submitting. Though, it doesn't work. The states do change when I uncheck "Delay item drop states until interaction is submitted", as expected. But not anymore after checking that box in Drag & Drop options. I do get the correct expected feedback overlays when submitting, the states just don't change. What is going on here? The amount of attempts is unlimited. Changing this doesn't fix the problem. Have a good day!51Views0likes6CommentsProject STORYVIEW is an OCD Nightmare ☠
I have created a robust gamification module that will be repurposed for 8 more modules contained in the same project. There are a lot of if/or in my declarations, which leave my storyview a complete mess - even though it works perfectly. Is there any way to get this more organized through any of the onboard tools or tricks? Have a look here: http://www.thomasjpaul.com/storyline/Storyview_Unorganized.mp4 My DEV link is here in case you want to have a look at it in action: http://www.thomasjpaul.com/402-1L-04-IMM-229/dev/ Thanks so much for you time!!92Views0likes3CommentsGIF issue: unable to play again
Hi community I'm running into an issue with a GIF: I'm simulating a software interface where the user is able to navigate between different menus. When the user navigates from menu 1 to menu 2 and vice versa, objects on the interface move around, which I'm using GIFs to show, however they only work the first time the user does this. On all subsequent visits, only the last frame of the GIF is shown. The way it is set up: the GIFs are placed on separate layers that are shown when the user switches menus. The layer properties are set to 'Reset to initial state' on revisit, which from my understanding means that the timeline plays from the beginning and all objects on the layer would be reset, including any GIFs on the layer. I have also tried to 'hide' the GIFs before the layer is closed after first visit, but that doesn't solve the problem. Any advice on solving this issue would be appreciated.82Views0likes5CommentsCustom resume function
Hello, I’m looking for a way to enable resume functionality for a Storyline course that has been exported for the web. The course runs inside a custom application that does not support SCORM packages. My goal is to store the learner’s progress (resume location) in a database. When a user logs in and launches the training, I want the course to resume from where they left off. Does anyone know if this is possible, and how it could be implemented? Kind Regards!Timeline with red x
I am using Stoylie 360 V3.106.35838.0, which I reloaded again to try to remedy this situation. For no particular reason, this will appear in the timeline, and I have to restart the program to get it to go away. I will also randomly get the "Sorry, Articulate may need to close" box. This is happening on every story that I am working on. I am using a local disc. I do have Localization, although I am not using it when these issues appear. Thanks for any direction for correcting this.36Views0likes6CommentsNew in Rise 360: AI-Generated Captions (Beta)
We’re thrilled to introduce a new way to make your Rise 360 content more accessible with less effort. You can now generate closed captions for course videos with AI Assistant, saving time and effort while supporting learners of all abilities. Whether you’re uploading a new video or working with existing media, AI Assistant can create captions automatically during upload or with a single click later. And if you want to make changes, the built-in captions editor makes it simple to fine-tune wording, timing, splits, merges, and more—all while previewing how your captions will appear in context. Check out the user guide to learn more. Give Feedback AI-generated captions are in beta, and we’d love your feedback. After generating captions, you can use the thumbs-up or thumbs-down option that appears in the lower-right corner to let us know how it went. You can also share your experience in the comments below. Happy captioning!86Views1like0Comments
