I think this worked at one point, but it's not now. On layer 2 the learner choses their avatar. After they click (on either one) I want the timeline/audio to resume. I've tried multiple things. At the moment I think it's working if they pick "George" but not if they pick "Marilyn." What's the best way to do this?14Views0likes0CommentsRise Articulate SCORM not saving progress in SAP SuccessFactors
Gracias de antemano.11Views0likes0CommentsStop audio on layer when changing slides...
This should be simple?! I have slide01 and slide02. There is audio on slide01 and two layers, each with different audio, on slide02. If the user is on slide02 base layer and clicks PREVIOUS, the audio for slide02 stops, the user is taken to slide01, and slide01 audio plays. However, if the user is on a layer on slide02 and clicks PREVIOUS, the audio on the slide02 layer AND audio from slide01 play simultaneously. I tried adding a trigger in the layer to stop the audio when the user clicks PREVIOUS, but PREVIOUS is on the base layer, so I can't add a trigger on the layer. And I tried adding a trigger turning off all audio on PREVIOUS on the base layer, but only the audio from that base layer is available to stop, not the audio from the layer. This has to be simple! What am I missing??52Views0likes5CommentsTrouble with Text Block in Microlearning
Hey there fellow e-Learning Heroes. I'm working on a microlearning course in Articulate Rise, and am experiencing an issue with a text block that has me just about ready to bang my head on the nearest wall. I have a text block with a heading and body text that's attached to an accordion block. Everything looks fine until I go into preview mode, where the text block has a lot of extra space at the top. See attached. Any clue on how to fix this? It's almost like there are two text blocks on top of each other. The issue is only with accordion blocks. It goes away whenever I attach the text block to another kind of interactive block.23Views0likes5CommentsLXP or CMS Suggestions for Rise 360 Course
Hi all, I am hoping to retrain as an ID and as part of the course I am doing, I have to design and build a course in Rise 360. The final part of this is to choose a learning platform to host it on, and I am hoping someone can help me with this as I'm a bit lost. The course I have designed is intended for the general public, i.e. it's not for a particular set of employees or students. Therefore, it needs to be easily accessible. I was thinking, therefore, of just hosting it on Amazon S3 or Google Cloud, but I am not sure if they offer any analytical functions. Alternatively, I thought of sites like Wix, Wordpress, or Drupal. Again though, I don't know much about their analytical functions. We have been told about LXPs like Degreed and Stream, but I'm not sure if an LXP would be overkill. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks.Articulate Course in Blackboard
I have several projects housed in the BB platform utilizing adaptive release for the multiple lessons within the training. However, when we attempt to go back to a previous lesson for remediation, we have to review the entire lesson instead of being able to skip to the section of the lesson that is the intended focus. The menu has the locks back as if we were looking at the lesson for the first time. The course settings are "Restricted," and the SCORM we use is either 1.2 or 2004. My team and I are trying to figure out whether this is a setting in BB that is not selected or if there is something we can do further in Articulate publishing. Any help will be appreciated. Thank you, Leslie TaylorAllowing microphone access on embedded web app
I have embedded a web app into my Storyline via a web object, and do not seem to be able to find any way to allow the Storyline to access the user's microphone. How do I go about allowing the embedded page to access the user's microphone?127Views0likes11Commentsimplement score point in rise via storyline block
I'm trying to report a score of 100% to the LMS using JavaScript in a Storyline block that's embedded in a Rise course. The script is triggered when the slide loads and uses lmsAPI.SetScore(100, 100, 0) followed by lmsAPI.SetPassed() and lmsAPI.CommitData(). Apparently a LMS of a customer needs this for completion next to course completion and I don't want to have quiz questions in rise. When I publish the Storyline module as a standalone SCORM 2004 package and upload it to SCORM Cloud, it works perfectly: the score is reported as 100% and the course is marked as completed and passed. However, when I embed the exact same Storyline file into a Rise course via a Storyline block, select “Track using Storyline block” in Rise, and publish the Rise course to SCORM 2004, the result in SCORM Cloud always shows a score of 0, even though the course is marked as completed. It seems that Rise is not picking up the score from the Storyline block, even though it works perfectly outside of Rise. Somebody suggestions?7Views0likes0Comments508 issues with video player
Does anyone know how to fix these two 508 issues with the video player? We are using JAWS and the Google Chrome browser. I have embedded a video in the Storyline 360 course and see these 2 problems: When using the tab key to navigate between the buttons/controls of the player, the "Audio Description" control is announced by JAWS as "Open button" and does not describe its purpose (Open Audio Description). This is per Reference: Section 508: WCAG 2.0 – 4.1.2 Name, Role, Value. The button icons within the video player have no text equivalent. A textual label is expected to be provided for all user interface elements. This is per Section 508: WCAG 2.0 – 3.3.2 Labels or Instructions. When I hover over the video player control/button with the mouse no text equivalent to the icon is visible (no tooltip is provided). Has anyone been able to fix these issues?41Views0likes4Comments
