Filter like Excel inside course
Hello, I am building a process-based course for people working in a laboratory. There are 9 different machines that are in the process the person has to use. I did the initial storyboarding in Microsoft Excel, because the process isn't strictly linear. For example: Turn on Machine A. It takes 30 minutes to warm up. Turn on Machine B. Do process 1 and 2. Turn on Machine C. Do process 1. On Machine B, do process 3. When Machine A beeps, you have 90 seconds to do process 1. So, when I job shadowed the technician, I wrote out the information in the order he does the work. When teaching someone new, he may want to do the entire process, but he may want to run it machine-by-machine, depending on the learner. With Excel, I have a column for the overall step process and another column for the step on a given machine. Filtering makes it easy to toggle between machine specific or full process views. For the moment, I'm building it in Rise with each machine as its own lesson. Long term, I think doing this in Storyline and putting some variables on each slide might be a better way to do this. I'm thinking I'd build the process by machine (in each scene). Then I'd rearrange the slides into the process order. The learner could then choose to view as full process or toggle for just one variable to be seen. Is there a better way to do this? What haven't I thought of that could make this easier?Licencing issues
Hello I work for an NHS Trust. We have 21 StoryLine 360 licences, managed by a dashboard with NHS discounts. I wanted to upgrade 3 licences to the AI version of Storyline 360. Our UK reseller Omniplex informed our team that we would either have to remain on the standard Articulate 360 licence or upgrade all 21 licences to the AI version. The team who use 18 of the licences don't need the AI version, only my team of 3 do. As a direct result of this we are not renewing 15 of the 21 licences, they I understand have already been cancelled with Omniplex. We will be keeping the standard version of Articulate 360 but, we are looking at moving to the New Captivate, which includes AI as standard. My team and I do not particularly want to move away from Articulate. Is there away to supply only the three StoryLine 360 AI licences we require when we renew in January. Our experience has been the subject for discussion at other NHS organisation who have an interest in the outcome.Storyline not reporting correctly in Saba (Cornerstone)
Help please! I have a Storyline 360 course that contains bookmarking. Published as SCORM1.2, Reporting is set to “passed/incomplete,” and the tracking set for “when the learner completes the quiz.” Uploaded to Saba QA LMS and am experiencing issues When the I exit the course before completing all quiz slides, Saba shows “completed unsuccessfully” instead of “in progress.” From the drop-down “View Results” I have the option to “RE-LAUNCH” upon which I can Resume (taken back to where I exited) or Restart. Learners should not be forced to complete the course in one sitting - is this issue caused by a Saba setting or the SCORM package?Problem with the screen recording in Articulate. HELP!
Hi everybody. Ok, there is a big problem which I am facing. 😬 Screen recording I have. Screen recording as simulation was done by me by selecting an 'x' size of screen size, which is never a trouble maker. Now I put that same recording as simulation where slide by slide test mode was selected by me. Now my smart colleague chose to change the screen size to 720x540. I had kept it 960x540 earlier. Now she wants me to simply copy and paste the slide as shown in below screenshots for ref. I 'simply' copy it and by doing ctrl+v I could duplicate the slide.😒 (Note: this is happening for any slide that I try to duplicate). As shown below in the SS, the recording size or ratio gets distorted and goes out of the slide size or canvas. Since its a recording, I get no option to fix this by adjusting the edges of it like how we increase or decrease the picture or image size. It 'simply' doesn't allow me to have a clean duplicate file or slide of the ones created. Therefore, I seek for help from anyone who could do some miracle. Else, I have to redo everything or to think about some something else. Because these things aren't in my control. Watch the SS attached carefully. I’ve recorded many screencasts without any issues in the past, but I’m now encountering a problem that only affects certain recordings within the same project. Specifically, the text entry field is completely missing. I know that sometimes the field appears very small or tucked away in a corner, but in this latest recording, I can’t locate it at all. I’ve tried inserting a new text entry field manually, but the course doesn’t recognize any input because it’s expecting the original field created during the screencast capture. This has been incredibly frustrating, and I could really use some help resolving it.Morph not working with standard states
Greetings, I want to use the Morph transition with buttons that have both Hover and Visited states, using Storyline's own coded states, but to my surprise, the buttons don't follow along, unless I make custom states that I manually program with triggers. This seems like extra work for something that shouldn't be that jarring. Is there any plan to make the Morph transition work with SL's own states? The transition happens a lot of possibilities, but "not working with standard states" and "not working with layers" really grind my progress to a halt. Thanks in advance.Migration to EU server
I want my data on an EU server but that seems impossible. I started using Articulate 5 years ago. Than there was no EU server. I did build courses and now I could not send a copy of a course to a customer I builded the course for. I see it as my content and I want to migrate to a EU server. But this is a service that Articulate does not offer. Does any now how solve this? Or perhaps some experts of the organisation can solve this for me. Thanks in advance, Rypke Procee
