Base layer text showing up on other layers
I have just started having this issue that when I place text on the main layer and have it fade in by paragraph, then go to the layers and make the whole text box hidden on each layer, everything works fine until...I change the timing of when a paragraph of text is to appear on the main layer (for example, needing to align it with the VO). When I change the timing, the text is no longer hidden in the other layers, and I need to go into each layer and rehide it. I can understand how adding a new paragraph would cause this, but just making a fine adjustment to the timing should not. Thanks for any input.Drag & Drop assistance
Good afternoon! First off, I'm a new user of Articulate and Storyline, so this might be a really simple solution (I've been hunting for answers but haven't found the right one yet) but I'm truly stumped, so I'll beg your patience. I'm trying to add a Drag & Drop slide and I'm so close to getting it fully functional, but I'm missing something. After lots of good online tutorials I was able to add the motion paths to move the incorrect drop items back to their original locations and let the learner try again. This is where the problem lies. When I drag the items, for a second time, to their correct drop locations, the Submit button isn't working. It should bring up the "correct" layer and allow me to press "correct" and advance to the next slide. But that layer isn't appearing. I know it's something I'm missing, but I cannot for the life of me figure out what I've done wrong or what I'm not seeing. If anyone can take a look at the sample and give me some direction I'd be super grateful! Thanks, MattArticulate Sign in "Couldn't Open Port"
Launched my Storyline 360 desktop app and was prompted to sign in. Typically clicking 'sign-in' launches a browser window where I sign in and then have access on the desktop as well. Today I received the attached message in the application when I clicked sign-in. "Couldn't Open Port" "Unable to open a port for authentication responses." Steps taken: Closed out and relaunched desktop application Restarted entire computer and relaunched Went directly to Articulate360 website to sign in Got into website, but did not connect me to the desktop app. Peers in my organization are not experiencing the same issue. I have been using the AI Assistant to edit text, specifically the "Fix spelling and Grammar" feature, and even though I am based in the USA, the AI converts my spelling to British spellings, such as organise instead of organize, and colour instead of color. I have not been able to a setting to change that. Can I set American English to my default spell check?Changing Data Centre from US to EU
Dear Community/Support Team, I need adivce. My subscription is expiring in a few weeks, and I would like to renew it. However, I need to change my data center from the US to the EU (we are based in the EU, yet for some reason, our account is allocated to the US data center) as I’m experiencing issues sharing files with external partners. Could you please clarify the process for making this change? I was informed that one option is to let the account expire and start a new one, but I’m concerned about what will happen to my Rise files and other content. My client has requested that learners have the opportunity to take a quiz twice before being marked unsuccessful. I'm using a Storyline results template with Review and Retry buttons. I have used a variable to allow two attempts. How can I exit the course after two unsuccessful attempts? As of now, there are two layers: Failure and Success. Additionally, how would I end the course when they are successful? If not mistaken, the results slide automatically submits the score, but I'd need to add a button to exit the course for Success and when the learner has been unsuccessful twice. Suggestions?Hide markers in 360 image and trigger them when required yet?
This has been asked for a few years now and wondering if this can be resolved? I want to add several markers to a 360 image but have the choice to show or hide them as required based on timeline starting or through triggers. One option is to have only 1 marker showing, when the user clicks it the next one appears etc until they get to the last one which lets them go to the next slide. This progression makes sense and has been requested by my customers many times. Not sure why this functionality has not been added as it makes the 360 images limited and pointless? Also being able to use custom icons should be a basic option now.Random Buttons Won't Hide
Hi, I have this dropdown slide that has created this issue. For context, there are three buttons and three states: Summary, Stops, and Item Detail. The user needs to click each one before they move on (and yes I realize I don't have a restriction on that yet). The problem lies with the buttons. When I switch to the Stops state, the "Stops" button from the base layer stays on the screen (look outside to the left of the dropdown bar). The same issue exists in the "Item Detail" state with the "Item Detail" button. Both are white so look closely - it took me multiple rounds of QA to catch this. When I've had this issue in the past, I've been able to figure it out by hiding everything on the slide and deleting the unnecessary items. But I tried that and that doesn't seem to be working. I've also tried setting them to Hidden but that doesn't work either. I attached the slide in question. If someone can figure out how to get these unnecessary buttons off these states that would be lovely.
