Assembling the Slides

As e-learning designers, you have many options for how you approach course development. Sometimes your customers, organization or projects will influence your production model.

Two common production models include:

  1. Slide by slide - completing each slide before moving to the next
  2. Grouping related tasks - assembling slides by common tasks

You can use either mode. What's most important is that you're working as efficiently as possible.

Reviewing our DIYTC final course, which production model would you choose?

Because most slides are similar — consistent layouts, design elements, animations and presentation style — we can group a lot of tasks to streamline our production.

The Engage, Quizmaker and branching video slides are the only unique slides in our course — we'll build those separately.

What's next?

In the next lesson, we'll use our storyboard and newly created Slide Layouts to assemble the first slide.
