In Engage ‘09, if you insert your interaction on a slide within a course you've built in Articulate Presenter, Presenter adds a “Next Slide” button in the upper-right of your interaction. By default, the button appears when the learner’s finished viewing all items within the interaction. When learners click the button, it allows them to advance from your Engage interaction to the next content slide in your e-learning course.

You can customize the text label on the button if you like, and you can even control if and when the button appears. Here’s how:

  1. Open your presentation in PowerPoint and go to the slide on which you’ve inserted your Engage interaction.
  2. On the placeholder slide, click in the Properties area at the bottom.
  3. In the window that appears, use the Show ‘Next Slide’ button selector to choose if or when you want the button to appear.
  4. You can also change the text that appears on the button. Enter whatever text you like in the Button Label field.
  5. Click Close.

That’s it! Next time you publish your course, you’ll see your preferences reflected in the published output.
