I was talking with a Quizmaker user who had an interesting challenge. He had created a multiple-choice question with several choices, but he also wanted to provide a response called "Other," in case the learner felt that none of the answer options were a good fit.

Although there isn't an option in Quizmaker '09 to add a text field to a multiple-choice question, here's a solution. You can use branching and an additional question (such as an Essay question type) to collect the information you need. It's pretty easy to set this up. This tutorial shows how to do this:
