These are all great interactions, but they are hard to incorporate when building ADA compliant courses. Does anyone have good ideas for interactions/ quiz options outside of multiple choice, fill in the blank, T/F etc., to use in place of drag and drop or hot spot interactions?

I agree Paul. The greatest challenge these days is to make quizzes more interesting for boring content courses and also to be able to engage more senior managers. These interactions are good but would not work with every audience.

Agreed. The company I contract to is conservative and has a lot of style rules, so I have to really tone down the excitement on my modules.

I work for an accounting learning company and can't really use pretty pictures and flowery script. I had one exercise series that was originally meant for print, where the exam users were given a scenario and had to check either Low, Moderate or High for Inherent risk, Control risk, and Combined risk assessment categories. I made each category into a box of three radio buttons, and some choices showed feedback. I couldn't use the standard "graded question" slide and had to do it longhand, with each choice triggering a feedback layer. The feedback would appear as a line of text that would wipe in from the left. Actually had fun with it.

You can use drag and drop or hot spot assessments but to be ADA compliant you should also provide an accessible assessment alternative. That way if someone has a disability and can't use the non-accessible version, the alternate is there for them.

That's a good idea. Thanks. I may add an ADA icon to that page with a trigger to an ADA compliant version of the question.
