Articulate default file locations

I am tech support for users that have articulate.   Our network uses folder redirection to point the user's my documents folder to a network drive, and our users have created different folders on their local drive to work from [because working from a network drive, doesent].  I currently am working with a user that is unable to change the default location to the local drive, so every time they try to save, it tries to open their "my documents," which is on the network drive.  I have gone into tools>options and changed the default path only to have that setting revert.  The problem is that only one user has this issue.  Other users with the exact same setup can reset to their local drive and have it stick.

The problem with troubleshooting this is that since the software only works for the registered user, I can't log in locally or remote in and reproduce the problem, or have the user log into a working machine to see if it's their user ID or their actual PC that has the issue.   I apologize if this seems vague, I am not an articulate user myself, so if additional details are needed, please ask.
