I am editing a course created with Articulate Studio '09 and Engage '09. Recently I noticed the audio on just the Engage slides doesn't stop when moving to a different slide. Is there anything else to try to fix this issue other than looking for uncommon characters in the PowerPoint? I have checked the titles of the shapes, and they are labeled with standard letters and numbers (Picture 8, Picture 2, etc.)
Thanks so much for taking the time to reach out here! I'd first like to verify that you're running the latest update for Studio 09, update 11. You can check by going to Help > About Articulate Engage.
If so, are you seeing this issue when previewing in the software or just once it's published?
If you're seeing it when previewing it in the software, is it happening when previewing in Engage or when previewing it once inserted in your Presenter course? Would you also mind verifying that you're using a supported version of Powerpoint for Studio 09:
PowerPoint 2000
PowerPoint 2002 (PowerPoint XP)
PowerPoint 2003
PowerPoint 2007
PowerPoint 2010
If you're only seeing this issue once it's published, what environment are you publishing for and how are you viewing the published content? You'll want to make sure you're testing it in the environment it was published for to prevent any unwanted behavior.
I checked for Engage updates, and there are none - my version shows: v2.3.1303.2214.
I'm seeing this in the published Presenter course, but I can reproduce it during a preview also. I'm publishing this course for the web, and putting the files up on a local web server. My client and I are viewing the files on either IE or Chrome. This is a new "feature" in the software. I've been creating and editing this content for over 5 years, but I didn't have this issue with the audio not stopping on page flip until recently.
I'm using PowerPoint 2010 with Studio '09 to create the course.
I will be converting the course to Storyline, but am hoping to fix this issue in the meantime.
Well, we would expect that to work as I shared above. Would you be able to share your Articulate Package for us to take a look? If you cannot share here in the forums, please share here privately.
I popped in to check on your case this morning, but it looks like you may not be getting our e-mails.
Please e-mail support@articulate.com and reference Case #00891798 so that we can try to get this resolved. If you have an alternate e-mail address, you may wish to share that as well.

Hi Bonnie!
Thanks for the details. Looks like you are utilizing the latest update.
Do you have your Engage Slide Properties set to: Allow user to leave interaction: Anytime by chance?
This is an issue we are aware of.
Workaround: Set Engage slide to Allow user to leave interaction: After viewing all the steps
Also - please be aware that responding to the forums via e-mail includes your signature, which you are welcome to pop in and edit if needed.
