Engage interactions

Aug 20, 2011

Hi

I have a series of engage interactions within a presenter presentation.

The first engage interaction is a circle diagram.  Is it possible to link from the tabs within the circle diagram to let us say a tabs diagram?

So if the inner circle of a circle diagram is called belief I have a separate interaction on belief that would be a more expansive way to educate about belief. So the inner circle would link to its related interaction.

Thank you

Gary

Hi Gary! Yes, that's possible, if you add your link to the text within the "belief" segment of your circle diagram. You could add a hyperlink to the slide on which you've inserted your Tabs interaction. Here's a blog post that explains how: http://daveperso.mediaenglishonline.com/2009/01/27/how-to-link-from-engage-to-presenter/

An important thing you should know before you try this:

  • When you add a hyperlink from Engage to a Presenter slide like this, and the destination slide contains an Engage interaction, there is a rendering issue which Dave mentions toward the end of his blog post in the second-to-last bullet. As he explains, the 2nd Engage interaction will look displaced. To avoid this, you can insert a separate slide right before the interaction, and hyperlink to that instead, as he describes.
