How to add user credential using Articulate Studio'13?

Apr 01, 2015

Hello, I'm creating web tutorial using Articulate Studio '13, and would like to track who completed/visited. Is there anyway to add user credential, such as username and password?

Thanks in advance!

Hi Grace,

Typically the tracking of who has access a course and completed it is handled by the LMS that you've loaded your course into. If you're not hosting the published output in an LMS, I'll defer to the community on other solutions they've utilized to track who has accessed a course. You posted this in the Engage forums, so you may want to clarify if you're using a standalone Engage interaction or embedding it in a Presenter '13 course.

Hi Ashley,

Thanks for the reply. I was debating which forum I should post my question yesterday since there is no forum for the Studio. Yes, I embedded Engage interactions in a Presenter '13 course, and would like to add the user information in the beginning. I thought this should be a type of interaction, but I may post the same question to the Presenter forum as well.

Can it be done by some kind of coding, like html5, and copy/paste to the slide?

Thanks!

Hi Grace,

First, I wanted to let you know that replying via email includes your signature here and you can edit the post to remove that information if you wish.

You can always post in any of the Studio options that deal with your issue - as it's broken down into Presenter, Engage and Quizmaker sections. I can't assist with any coding elements (outside my expertise and not something we support) but in regards to an interaction - if you add a quiz question where they need to fill out information in a short answer perhaps, you could capture that to report to an LMS. But, if you won't be utilizing an LMS to track their completion or access to the course, I'll defer to the community on options they've utilized in Studio.
