Importing Engage 13 Interaction in Storyline
Jan 14, 2015
I have not been able to import and Engage 13 interaction in Storyline directly or as a web object today. I have updated and installed Engage 13 and use Storyline 1. When I go to import the Engage 13 interaction in Storyline I get the following message:
"Engage Not Installed. To import Engage interaction, you must have engage installed on the system."
I tried importing the Engage 13 interaction as a Web Object, as explained in the tutorial here: http://www.articulate.com/support/storyline/how-to-insert-an-articulate-engage-13-interaction-into-articulate-storyline
but the Previous/Next buttons on the player are not shown, even though I have them selected under the gear icon in Storyline. Everything looks and works fine in the preview mode, but when I publish, the Previous/Next buttons are missing on the player.

Hi Lydia!
You are getting an error because Engage '13 is not compatible with Storyline 1. Our advice is to add the Engage interaction as a web object as you have done.
Would you be able to share your .story file for us to have a look in reference to the player buttons?
Thank you. I was able to work it out. When you import the Engage Interaction as a web object, be sure to resize the web object on the screen, otherwise it will cover up the player controls!!

Ah, that makes sense :) Glad you were able to get that sorted and thanks for the update :)
Yes, an easy fix now that I know this little piece! Maybe this little piece of information will help others!
Absolutely! I appreciate you sharing :)
