Ability to take student's voice recording with Articulate?

Jun 26, 2013

Dear all, thanks for reading this thread..

This is a question with both Moodle and Articulate. We used Articulate to generate e-learning content for Moodle a while ago but I forgot whether articulate is capable of recording student's voice or not. Basically what we are trying to do is to create a TOEFL ibt "Speaking Test" which would allow students to take a quiz by reading a short description first, then within certain amount of time (e.g. 45 seconds), they will need to use their own microphone to record their response (with their own voice) and submit it (in Moodle) for further manual grading. I have tried the Moodle 3rd party plugin "NanoGong" but it doesn't work with Moodle quizzes. I'm thinking maybe the SCORM package generated by Articulate (Quizmaker?) might be able to achieve this (that is, timed quiz that can take student's voice input, and the SCORM package can be inserted into Moodle). Does anyone here solved similar challenges before? Any thoughts or comments? Thanks!!
