How reliable is Quizmaker at displaying Japanese characters correctly in published tests? I have several tests in English that I would like to translate into Japanese so that our new sales force there can have the same ease of assessment as our learners in English do.
I can paste Japanese script in quiz maker and it appears in Japanese when published however when we Submit the answer is there any way we can get the following in Japanese?
1. Submit button
2. 'Its correct or its incorrect' popup menu
3. and then the score page also appears in English
I would like to build the quiz all in Japanese hence please help.
For the "Submit" button and feedback prompts, you'll want to modify the text labels for your quiz player. To do this, click on "Player Templates". Your current template should be selected in the next window. Click on "Edit" and select the section for "Text Labels". Once here, you'll be able to change the language for these labels by using the drop-down menu in the lower right-hand corner of the window.
Alternatively, you can find the labels you'd like to change and enter your custom text.
It'll look something like this:
For the "score page" you mentioned, I believe you're referring to the pass or fail results page, is that right? If so, you can modify the text here as well.
To do so, select your quiz and open either the "Pass Result" or "Fail Result" options in the "Results" section. Here you can either modify the content from "Form View" or "Slide View" if you'd like to see how the slide will appear to users. If you want to change the text for both correct and incorrect responses, you'll want to modify both the "Pass Result" and "Fail Result" slides for the quiz.
What you could do is create a "go to" quiz file. Make all the changes you want to carry through to all of your courses and save the file. When you're ready to work on a new project, open that quiz and save it with another name. You should be able to do this by selecting "Save As" in the save menu.
Since you've already done this in one quiz, you could just save that particular file and save it as a new one when you're ready to start another project. That way you don't have to manually edit all of those labels again.
I have downloaded the Articulate 13 and was trying to create a quiz in Quiz maker in Japanese.
Though the player template can be changed to Japanese from the drop down but to change the result window in Japanese I have to change the text manually. Do we have any option in Quizmaker '13 to change the result window and the feedback layers automatically in Japanese?
At the moment, the content will need to be manually translated.
We're working on a translation feature for localizing Articulate Studio '13 content in different languages. It'll be available in a free software update. We can't give timelines, but we'll release it as soon as we can.
I know it's a little more work to translate projects at the moment, but hopefully we'll have more information on this soon.
I hope you had a great weekend and have a great Monday, Nisha!
Recently my company has bought a licence of Articulate studio 13 and I am still facing the same issue that the result slide doesn't automatically translate into Japanese.
Yes, I am talking about the result slide.like we have to select the language in player template and the whole template converts in to Japanese. The same way do we have any choice to change the result slide e.g. 'you have passed or 'This is not the correct answer' ,just by choosing the language option?
Unfortunately, the only text that is translated when you change the textlabels is the text that is included in the player. Since the text on the results slides is customizable, we don't automatically translate it.
You can however, as Leslie suggested, manually translate it.

Quizmzaker does support Asian text so you shouldn't have any issues doing this.

Hi Christine ,
Thanks for your quick reply.
I have Quiz-maker version 2.3 and in this version there is no Language drop down menu.
Only Load, save,Ok and Cancel buttons are there.
I tried converting all the 54 options in Japanese in the player template however I have to do it with every new quiz I create .
So please suggest something where in I can convert the text once only and would be able to see the Japanese labels every time I create a new quiz.
Regards,
Nisha

Thank you very much Christine !!!

Looks like its not updated yet.

Hi Nisha!
Are you asking about the feedback on the results slide? You can manually edit that material.
