I am an ICT teacher at a school, and have created a solution to save all results to a database automatically after the quiz. I am using a MS SQL Server database, but it could easily be adapted to a MS Access or other database.
We have already taken hundreds of tests, and all results are stored, up to individual answers. The web interface enables you to download results per quiz, per student or per class in CSV format.
Awesome, Michael! I am testing now to see if this is also compatible with Articulate Storyline. If not, I will modify the code and send it back to you to share with others. Thanks again!
All I remember is saying "I don't have a version for storyline". So, no. I don't have storyline and I don't know what the required code would look like. Perhaps it's similar to QuizMaker, but I never looked into it.
Thank your for your answer. In fact, when I read this discussion, I understanded "Dee H" worked on a Storyline version. But it is quite possible that I misunderstood.
No you understood fine, it's true, she was working on that. From his explanation I can see that it works almost the same as my version. So there's not much difference between Storyline and Quizmaker.
I am so glad this thread is still alive :) could someone kindly let me know if this link is correct https://elearning.net/saving-storyline-quiz-data-to-an-external-database/ will this allow my storyline2 with quiz to report on my MS database? any advice or guidance would be greatly appreciated.
This isn't a method we can offer support for, as we don't support reporting to an external database, but hopefully others here in the community can weigh in.
I'm new to Articulate Studio 13. I have tested your code and the instruction given but still met failure. I was trying to save results into the MSSQL. Could you please guide me? Thank you.
Hi BH! Hopefully Michiel is still subscribed to this thread and can respond, but if you do not hear back soon feel free to reach out to the user via the 'Contact Me' option on the user profile.
Hi Leslie, Thank you for your reply. Did anyone of you managed to bind the Studio 13 quiz result into MSSQL. The structure that Michiel posted does not matched for Studio 13.

All source code is open sourced, and downloadable on http://code.google.com/p/quizbaker/
I am hoping for collaboration from many of you to improve the software. Email me if you like to cooperate on the project.
That's great, Michael! Very cool. Thanks for sharing.

Glad that this thread was able to assist you as well Dee.
@Dee
Hi. Please note all code has been moved to Github, because Google Code is not supported anymore. There are two versions, ASP and PHP:
https://github.com/blonkm/Quizbaker-PHP
https://github.com/blonkm/quizbaker
Example and new design: http://quizbaker.vanderblonk.com/
Thanks, Leslie! This entire forum is extremely helpful - such a wonderful community!
Michiel - Splendid! I'll share the working solution for storyline soon. Thank you!
Thanks for the kind words Dee :)
Hi Dee H,
You speak about a version for Storyline. Do you have something to use it with Storyline ?

For Storyline, I see an other option with this post : https://elearning.net/saving-storyline-quiz-data-to-an-external-database/
But in my case, it's doesn't seems to work well.
