Categorising Answers

Jun 08, 2011

Hi everyone,

I'm new to elearning and Articulate. I'm creating a fun quiz that requires that the answers be 'categorised' and then revealed in the results slide. I'm pretty sure that this cannot be done purely numerically as I would like that particular category to be revealed and THEN the amount of times that person answered according to that category. Essentially, it isn't really graded as such...

eg: Question 1: Something round:

A) ball

B) apple

C) sun

Question 2: Something bumpy:

A)road bumps

B)crocodile

C) Pineapple

B and C are of the category - FRUIT.

Results Slide:

"You answered 2 questions within the category of FRUIT etc"

Is this possible to do in Quizmaker?

Thank you,

Sarah

Ok... I THINK my question is the same, but I thought I'd take a chance that it may not.

Regarding categories....  Can I categorize my questions, let's say, for example's sake, about motors? There are Car motor, motorcycle motor and lawnmower motor questions in this quiz. At the end of the quiz, I'd like to not only show the number of correct/incorrect responses, but the ability to show in what category the student performed the weakest to show where studying needs to be focused. These questions need to be in the same quiz as this is an exam preparatory program and the Actual exam is thus.

Feedback:

Car Motors                              Scored 28 of 33 (or something LIKE this)

Motocycle Motors                   Scored 15 of 34

Lawnmower Motors              Scored 32 of 33

Thank you!

Welcome to Heroes, Alma!

What you're describing doesn't sound like something that can currently be done, but it would make a great feature request:

If you are willing to use more than one quiz, I found an older thread with some great ideas that may be good for you, though. Have a look:

Hope that's helpful!
