Hello, I set up the character's expression would change to Happy or to Worried depending on the score. It works perfect the first time but doesn't with " Retry" button. The score changes appropriately with Retry but not the character's expression. Any idea why?
Hi Sean! Thanks for clarifying. Would you be able to share a sample of the .story file you are working with so that we can take a look? I'm sure it's a matter of triggers/variables depending on how you've built it. I'd be happy to help out.
I cut out the scene from a project to make the file size smaller, so please understand that you are not seeing a text entry box when there are outputs for text entry.
There are 5 questions and the answers are as below. Q1 - True Q2 - True Q3 - False Q4 - False Q5 - True
The character is supposed to smile if the score is 4 or higher, frown if the score is 3 or lower. Thank you for your help in advance.

see updated file. It didn't seem to like the timeline lag - when I set the character to change on timeline start it works fine. This isn't ideal if you want it to lag. I also removed the change state of character to normal when timeline starts as the initial state is 'normal' so that trigger isn't needed.
Thank you so much, Wendy! The timeline lag would've been nicer but is not that crucial, so I am happy with the result. " Normal" state trigger was placed there since, at first, the guy's state stayed either as frowning or smiling, whatever the previous state was. I was trying to mask the error without being able to fix the problem itself. :) Thank you again!

Hi Sean! Did you build your quiz using Storyline or Quizmaker? I wanted to double check since you can use characters in both tools.
Depending on the tool you're using, I'd be glad to point you in the right direction!
Oh, I was using Storyline. I might have chosen a wrong category when submitting the inquiry. Thanks for getting back to me Alyssa!

Thank you, Ali. I just uploaded the file in the previous posting and removed my contact info.
