Double text entry on iPad

Mar 27, 2016

Hi,

I am reaching out to see if anyone else has run into this issue with iPad or Android devices. We have published to our LMS and the content is delivered via HTML5 when flash is not present. Our LMS uses an <iframe> tag to embed the player. We have a double letter entry with the built in iPad keyboard (never tested an external one) on both Mobile Safari and Google Chrome on all of our content which we have republished and uploaded since the last update to Articulate Studio 13. I have seen some posts with Storyline regarding an <iframe> tag "echo" or "talkback" issue where there is some JS code that can be "commented out" to stop this from happening. I am hoping that someone has done the same for Studio 13 output and could share what they did.

Today I had an old file that had not been updated since before the last update to Articulate Studio 13. I went to evaluate functionality and did not see the double letter entry, so I was excited that it worked fine. Then I went and did some fixes and updates to the lesson then after I published and uploaded it, then tested it, it had the double letter entry issue...

This issue pops up with both Mobile Safari and Google Chrome but only on my iPad, not on a Windows desktop (likely since it is using Flash not HTML5 but I can not confirm this).
