Exponents in Math Quiz?

I'm trying to get exponents to show up in a math quiz -- when I upload 5 files as images (problem and 4 answer choices), they are all layered on top of each other and not where they need to be. When I cut and paste, the exponent goes away. Help, please! This is quiz 1 of about 20!

Hi Anna! If you are entering the information as text, you can edit when in 'slide' mode to create the exponents using the superscript button in formatting. Will this accomplish what you're trying to do? If not, just give me some more information.
Theoretically, this works...but I don't have those text options under the slide view. I have this...is there an adjustment I can make?
