How can I make a Drag X number of items questions

Feb 12, 2014

Good day,

I am trying to create a question with multiple choices on the left and you must drag some of the them to the right side to answer the question.  Is there a way this can be done.

For example:

You have a list of items presented below.  Drag the two items that are food to the right side

pizza                 ___________________

lasagna             ___________________

hammer            ___________________

chainsaw          ___________________

screwdriver      ___________________

wood                ___________________

I know there is a way to do drag and drop into the proper sequence.  But I have not seen a way to drag only two choices out of the whole list presented.

Is this possible

Thanks

Clement

Good day Leslie,

I am getting a lot closer to what I am trying to do.

Here is my challenge,  If you look at the graphic in attachment you will see what the question looks like.

There is two good choices on the left side, they are:  RSA and Diffie Hellman.

This is where the challenge starts.

FIRST:  I have tried with having only two graphics on the right side where people need to drag the matching graphic on the left on top of the matching graphic on the right, where initially I had only two graphics instead of 5 as shown on the capture.

The problem I ran into was they must be drag and drop in a specific order.  For example,   RSA was matching with box one on the right side,  then Diffier Hellman was matching with box two on the right side.    The problem I ran into was the order of the graphic.  They had to be in a specific order.  You could not drag the two good choices on the left to any of the box on the right side.  They had to be dragged to the specific box that is matching.

I wonder if there is a way around this where the two good choices on the left could be dragged to any of the two box presented on the right.

SECOND TRY:

To avoid the problem above, I have decided to use five boxes on the right and make some of them marked as NONE and only two are matching with the choices on the left.

I ran into another issue where it is possible to guess which one if the right one just by attempting to drop them and see if they match.  Not great for learning, you use trial and error and you come up with the right answerl.

SUMMARY

I am still puzzle on this one and I hope someone can help me

Best regards

Clement
