how do i adjust the cmi.exit value?

Aug 02, 2012

I use Inquisiq R3 as an LMS and I'm trying to set up a quiz for one attempt. The LMS says "Your content must correctly set the cmi.exit parameter in order for attempt limits to function properly" what does this mean and how can i set this correctly?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Hi Brandon,

You can specify the number of attempts that a user is allowed for quizzes that are embedded in your Presenter '09 presentations. Here's how. However, limiting the number of attempts for presentations, standalone quizzes, and standalone interactions is not currently supported. Please review this article for more information. That being said, I'm really not familiar with your particular LMS, but you may want to pass that information onto your LMS team. You're also welcome to submit a ticket to our support team for further troubleshooting advice. Hope it's helpful!

Please give me a specific path to configure cmi.exit

I am currently configured as follows:
But maybe the way I configured incorrectly
  1. Publish for LMS.
  2. On the Publish Successful window, click Open Folder.
  3. Open the lms folder.
  4. Open Configuration.js in Notepad.
  5. Locate
    DEFAULT_EXIT_TYPE = EXIT_TYPE_SUSPEND;
  6. Change the value to true
    DEFAULT_EXIT_TYPE = EXIT_TYPE_NORMAL;
  7. Save and close Configuration.js.
  8. Return to the Publish Successful window.

Please help me configure.
