How do I get rid of the restore up/down button in the player?
May 20, 2012
Hi all,
I'm a new Quizmaker user. Recently purchased it to create lessons on grammar.
I'm only using QM and producing CDs only. My question is very specific. There's a minimize, restore down/up and close button right at the top right-hand corner of any flash player or IE explorer window, as illustrated and directed by the fat red arrow below:
How do I get rid of the restore up/down button (the middle of the 3)?
I don't mind users minimizing or closing but I don't want them resizing their browser. I've tried editing the player template but it doesn't seem to make any difference to a cd format.
Apologies for being awkward....

Mushfiq,
After publishing for CD, a loader.ini file is produced. If you open the loader.ini in a text editor, modifying the line 'windowstyle=3' variable will produce different window styles as outlined below.
windowstyle=0 : No frame around the content.
windowstyle=1 : Content frame with minimize, restore down and close buttons. Can't drag corner to resize.
windowstyle=2 : Content frame with minimize, restore down and close buttons. Can drag corner to resize.
windowstyle=3 : Content frame (rounded corners) with close button only. Can't drag corner to resize.
windowstyle=4 : Content frame (square corners) with close button only. Can't drag corner to resize.
windowstyle=5 : Content frame (square corners) with close button only. Can drag corner to resize.
All other numbers above 5 : Content frame with minimize, restore down and close buttons. Can drag corner to resize.
I hope this helps!
Excellent. Worked perfectly! I changed it to 3 instead and it left me with just the close button. Perfect.
Many thanks for you prompt and exact response.
Thanks David
