how many users per liscense?

I'm taking over the testing for my company and trying to set up articulate on my computer. When I try to use the serial number my predecessor gave me, it is saying that we have maxed out the number of users for our serial number.

How do I fix this?

You can only install on two machines. It's one user per license, two installations. Normally, you'd deactivate the previous license from a machine. Sometimes, support folks will slate a machine which leaves the license in play. If you can find the second machine where it was installed and de-activate, it should free up for you. 

Otherwise, you'll need to contact support to plead your case

Hi Lindsay and welcome to Heroes!

As Steve mentioned the license is for one user as detailed here in the Articulate End User License Agreement (EULA) and it doesn't permit transferring software to another user. If there's a special condition that would require a transfer, such as an employee leaving the company, you'd need to request consent and receive permission from our Support team.
