I want to insert questions halfway through a course?

Nov 05, 2013

When I upload the questions to the LMS, the LMS thinks that the course has ended and requests feedback. In reality, the questions are only in the middle of the course. Is there a way that I can tell Quizmaker not to send info back to the LMS that the course is finished?

Thanks,

geoff

Hi Geoff and welcome to Heroes!

It is typically the results slide that submits the information to the LMS, so it sounds like odd behavior that your LMS is considering the course finished before reaching the questions and presumably the results slide? Have you tested loading the Quizmaker course into a testing site such as SCORM Cloud to see if you're able to replicate the behavior? If not, you'll want to connect with your LMS team and share the results of your SCORM testing. If you replicate the behavior, please share your .quiz file here with us so that we can take a look, or send along to us privately here.

Thanks Ashley. I should have been more specific. Apologies.

I do manage to complete the questions and get to the results slide. But then I want to continue with the remainder of the course. Is there a way of telling the results slide to either not transmit a result to the LMS or to tell the LMS that this is an interim step.

Best regards,

Hi Geoff,

Quizmaker '13 communicates course completion to a learning management system (LMS) when the learner reaches the result slide, so there isn't a way that I know of, but you could always set the Results slide as the ending slide so that you're able to advance through the rest of the course and the LMS won't receive a completed status till the end.
