I'm trying tot insert a quiz that i build in quizmaster to a course in articulate storyline, but while doing so i get a message saying: that storyline doe not support this new version of quiz master. How can i solve this problem?
I'd really like to add four quiz questions to my course build in storyline.
Storyline doesn't support importing content from Articulate Presenter '13, Articulate Quizmaker '13, or Articulate Engage '13. We're working to make this feature available in a free update for Storyline, but I don't have a time frame for when that update will be available.
I am using Engage '13 and would like to add a few questions (mini-quiz) and proceed to continue on the course. Will this not work? Best then to do several modules followed by quizzes built in Quizmaker?
Great question! Engage doesn't have a Quizzing feature - but if you've got Quizmaker, do you also have Presenter '13? You can combine all those elements into one course - take a look at the directions here on how to import Quizmaker and Engage into Presenter.
If you don't want to track the quiz score (if the questions are more for an informal knowledge check), then you can include multiple quizzes throughout the course and track using the number of slides viewed.
Let me know if that answers your question, or if you had something else in mind!
I'm not sure yet if we will want to track the mini quiz scores as we go or not. I have Quizmaker and know how to do a separate quiz, or add one into Engage, but I don't know how to do just a mini quiz as we go, as you called it, a knowledge check, and track it. The idea is to have multiple of these quizzes throughout the course.
If so, you can combine your Engage interactions and your Quizmaker quizzes into one course. For example, your course outline may look like this:
Engage interaction
3 Quiz Questions
Engage Interaction
3 Quiz Questions
Engage Interaction
Final Quiz
With that outline, you can either give your learners credit based on the number of slides viewed, or based on the final quiz score (since Presenter only tracks one Results slide).

Hi DiAnne!
Are you planning to track learner results in a learning management system? Do you want to track the overall score of the mini-quiz questions?
Presenter '13 can track one quiz results slide. If you want to track the quiz score, then you'll want to group the question together into one quiz.
If you don't want to track the quiz score (if the questions are more for an informal knowledge check), then you can include multiple quizzes throughout the course and track using the number of slides viewed.
Let me know if that answers your question, or if you had something else in mind!
Thanks.
Thanks Alyssa,
We have the same last name!

We sure do! 😉
Just to double check, do you have Presenter '13?

Yes Alyssa, that is what I was looking for. I may need help structuring the questions within Engage 13 so they calculate into points.
Thanks.
DiAnne
Hi Dianne,
Sorry for the confusion! You'll want to create all of your quizzes in Quizmaker, not Engage.
Once all of your Engage and Quizmaker files are ready, you'll import those files into Presenter so they'll be packaged as one course.
Also, it looks like your email signature came through when you replied via email! No worries, this Peek video will show you how to remove it.
I can't find my link to the page; can you send it to me please?
DiAnne
Do you mean you can't find the link to open the ELH forum thread? Click here, and the forum thread will open.
Let me know if that's what you were thinking!
Thanks Alyssa, yes, I meant the forum!
