Is there a cloze style question available in Quizmaker

I have been playing in Articulate and many other E learning tools for awhile now. One of the useful question types that I use in another program is a cloze question. This is where you can have either gaps in a sentence that need to be filled in (there can be multiple gaps in different parts of the sentence) or you can have drop down lists in multiple parts of the sentence. On top of that you can normally use a combination of drop down list and gaps so that students not only need to input data but they need to select the correct answer or description from a list. One of the easiest ones I have used uses the different brackets to determine whether it is a drop down list [ ] or a fill in part { }. Fill in lists all the answers that are acceptable while the drop down list has an asterix next to the one that is correct. Normally you can choose if all are correct or partial marking is allowed.

eg. If there are 3 resistors in parallel. R1 is 15 k ohms R2 is 32 k ohms and R3 is 50 k ohms, and they are connected to a 24 volt D.C supply. Firstly what is the total circuit resistance? {=8480.56, 8450.565, 8450.5653, 8450.5654} What is the current that flows in R2 {=0.00075} What unit of measure would you normally express this in? [milliamps, *micro amps, nano amps, amps]

This would display as follows:

If there are 3 resistors in parallel. R1 is 15 k ohms R2 is 32 k ohms and R3 is 50 k ohms, and they are connected to a 24 volt D.C supply. Firstly what is the total circuit resistance? __________  What is the current that flows in R2 __________  What unit of

measure would you normally express this in?

You can also use this type of question to get tables filled out correctly.

Hi there Graeme, and welcome to Heroes! There isn't currently a way to create a slide that contains a mix of multiple dropdown/fill-in-the-blank questions. However, you could probably come close to what you're wanting to achieve by using some of the techniques shown in the following screencasts. Basically these approaches involve using either sequence drag-and-drop or sequence dropdown questions, and using Slide View to reposition them a bit to suit your needs.
