matching drop down not reporting data

Hi,

I have an issue with a SCORM 2004, matching drop down question (MDD) not reporting question data back to our LMS.

I spent some time stepping through the Articulate javascript and looking at the Articulate debugger output for the quiz, and for all other questions in the quiz there are several 'SetValue' function calls, etc, but for the MDD nothing happens in the debugger and no javascript functions seem to be called.

It is also worth noting that there is another MDD question in the quiz that successfully reports data.  There main difference between the two is that the working MDD has two responses whereas the non-working one has 4. 

We have played with several other parameters for the question (question description length, length of response text) to see if we could get it working, but no change.

My question is whether there are any known bugs or usage restrictions for MDD questions that might explain why this behavior is happening.
