Thanks for reaching out! There isn't a limit on the number of drag items in a freeform drag-and-drop. Is there a specific interaction that you're trying to accomplish?
I did have a specific drag-and-drop that I was designing, initially requiring12 drop items to 4 drop targets. In form view, I became stalled at the letter K, being the 11th letter of the alphabet. That's as far as form view would go, and that's when I wrote my question.
A few days later, I revisited the question, and for no apparent reason, form view allowed me to past the letter K.
So I guess it was just a "software hang" cured by a reboot of the program.
