Providing Feedback for Incorrect Answers

Jun 04, 2013

I'm adding a few quizmakers into a short course, to serve as knowledge checks.  To facilitate the learning process, I'd like to provide the correct answer when the learner selects the wrong one.  I've added a new blank slide after each question and have the follow-up actions mapped to take the incorrect response to the blank slide and the correct response to the next question.  The blank slide contains the correct answer and some additional information.

Here's my problem:  The default message on the blank slide instructs the learner to click on "Next Question".  I really need it to say something like "To See the Correct Response" (or something to that effect).  I've used the Player Template to make that change....but now that message appears when the learner selects the correct answer as well (and I'd really just like them to advance to the next question).

I'm sure there's a simple answer to this...I'll be darned if I can find it!

Hi Lisa,

If you're modifying the text that appears on that button through the player text labels, you're going to see that text for each response. Sounds like you're doing everything properly - this is the text that the user is going to see for incorrect and correct responses.

Perhaps it would be a little easier just to use something a little more general, such as "Continue"? That way, no mater what portion or what answer they select, it'll appear the same way, it'll make sense and the user won't be confused by the label.

Just a thought :)
